People are put in our lives for a reason. Some teach us lessons, others show us love, some help us learn to endure challenges, others push us to reach our full potential. Some only last for a season, while others are lifelong and steadfast.

How lucky I am to call these two my grandparents, who have paved the way for their 5 sons and 16 grandchildren, leaving a legacy behind them full of love.

Today is an extra special day because it’s the day my grandmother was born. A woman who has dedicated her life to loving people well, serving others with passion, and building a family that I’m so blessed to call mine. Grammi, I love you beyond words, and this shoot with you and Papa will forever have a special place in my heart. Happy birthday 🫶🏼

It’s funny the conversations that photography brings your way. You meet people, hear their stories, and walk away with beautifully unexpected memories. Tara, the most bright-spirited cowgirl, was one of those conversations for me. One of those sweet souls who you mesh with right off the bat.

She was leading a trail ride with my family in Utah a couple months ago, and we talked the whole ride through. Not long after, she messaged me asking if I could come back to Utah to photograph her wedding. A million times over, I would have said yes if prior commitments had not gotten in the way. Tara, you are a light and it was a blessing getting to know you! One day I’ll be back! Until then, congratulations on your engagement!

Xavier, you make beautiful love stories 💙 From a chance meeting at college, to a first date over Graeter’s, to saying “yes” almost a decade later… love really does come full circle. 💍🍦 So honored to capture this chapter of your story!! Congratulations, Sydney and Julian!!
