1st marathon in the books 📚

That s**t was hard. Always pushing the limits!

Congratulations to everyone who pushed themselves today.

Especially proud of my amazing wife who completed here 1st 1/2 marathon.

With the framing complete, I wanted to take a minute to walk the house and get photos and videos of every room. I didn’t think it would make me emotional, but it did. Being so caught up in running the project, managing the budget, ordering materials, and constantly solving problems, I haven’t really stepped back to appreciate the beauty, design, and craftsmanship that’s coming together.

This house has taught me so much and honestly kicked my butt. It’s put a strain on my marriage, my business, and my relationships, and it has made life hard for my girls and family especially my amazing wife, who had a baby and dealt with postpartum all while having no real “home” during all of this.

We are over budget, past timelines, and stretched to our max, all while I continue to work full time and add new projects to our already complicated life. It’s brought a lot of stress, and I have to give so much credit to my wife for continuing to support me and our family through it all.

Standing back now, I can finally see the finished product starting to come together, and it’s overwhelming in the best way. This house carries a story of my past, present, and future. While I can’t wait for it to be done, I also want to appreciate the beauty of all the hard work that’s already gone into it.

Special shoutout to everyone who has helped along the way and continues to put time, effort, and energy into this project.


We’re going to have one hell of a party when this house is complete. But for now, I just wanted to share some photos for everyone to appreciate the amazing work we’ve completed.

I hope nobody who reads this thinks I’m complaining or looking for sympathy, because that’s not what this post is about. I asked for all this, and I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be and it will all be worth it. Growth comes with risk, failure is part of it, and learning how to manage everything along the way is part of the process.

Job’s not done. Back to work.
