I absolutely hated the gold acrylic I was using for his rank insignia, so I bought metallic pens. Much better! Now to finish the ocean.

So, I have 2 stained wood plaques that are ready to be painted, and then have a bridle hanger attached. I have a few prepped (bent) horse shoes I could use, or I could purchase brass hangers for them.

I am planning to pain a version of Justin Morgan on one, and would be happy to do the other one custom of your horse. $ 100, base price without the bridle hanger for a head shot, $125, base price for full body painting.

The bay Morgan is not mine. I received that bridle rack as a gift from a dear friend, Gail Perlee, a noted Morgan historian. I would guess it was purchased from AMHA and the design based on a Jeanne Mellin painting.

This is my current WIP work in progress. Still much to do.

I also paint custom bridle racks and stall plaques. This one is for my future show mare. At my farm, they usually don't get something like this until they are ready to show, but I had some extra time this summer and painted Rosalind's early.

Wow, it has been almost a year since I posted. While I haven't had much spare time, I have managed to finish a few paintings.

Second assignment for Acrylic Painting class almost done. I still need to finish the background and blend the shadow into the background. I think the onion is done though.

It has been a hot minute since I picked up a paint brush. I try to take at least one art class a year to force myself to paint. Last summer it was a ceramics class. This spring it is an acrylic/oil painting class. I don't get to pick the subjects. This is technically the fourth project, but since I didn't have an organic sphere with me Thursday, I started this one. The instructor is phenomenal and I am happy to be painting again.
