We focus mainly on Punk (in the most general sense) music, but are open to anything that reflects our political and creative tastes (in other words we book what we like). 2020 will be the 20th anniversary of Chico Area Punks. CAP has gone through various iterations in the last two decades, but our mission of bringing all ages DIY acts has remained always intact. Right now that mission will continue to take a pause so that we can focus on keeping our community safe. Right now we hope that every single one of our friends, allies, and show goers is doing well and staying healthy during these weird times. We’d like to send a huge (virtual) high five to all the punks and pals helping others through this tough situation via mutual aid, as well as you folks who are just staying home in hopes of not endangering anyone. We’ll be back as soon as we feel it’s safe to continue doing what we love, alongside the folks that make it all possible. We will continue to update y’all as much as we can.

All the bands are paid by show cover charges, so please support our local music scene.
No fascist, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic bu****it. We are all about bringing people together in a safe autonomous space. Not tearing others down based on societal-isms and phobias.
We are very open minded about what other people have to say. This is OUR music scene. Keep in mind we volunteer our time to book shows we want to see so If you just don't like what we do or how we do it book your own damn show.
