You'll soon be able to park in downtown Chico for free Visitors will soon be able to park for free for up to two hours in downtown Chico's long-term city lots. Leaders hope the pilot program will encourage more people to spend time and shop downtown.

Tonight, we’re back for Friday Night Concerts with CANA ROAD BAND bringing the music, the beer garden bringing the brews, and our vendors bringing a sprinkle (or two) of extra fun to downtown.

Come early around 6 pm to claim your spot, visit the vendors, and ease into the evening before music kicks off at 6:30 pm.

As we kick off this month’s Unity in Diversity Expo during the Thursday Night Market, we’re featuring Lili’s Brazilian Bistro —a downtown restaurant built from one woman’s dream of sharing her culture, family traditions, and love of Brazilian food with the Chico community.

Owner Lili first came to the United States from Brazil as an exchange student before eventually making Chico home. What began as cooking for friends and family grew into a restaurant rooted in connection, hospitality, and authentic Brazilian flavors inspired by the meals she grew up with.

Today, Lili’s Brazilian Bistro is known for its vibrant atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and comforting, flavor-filled dishes that bring people together around the table. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcomed the moment you walk in—colorful, lively, and full of heart.

And honestly, that’s what this month is all about. Celebrating the people, cultures, and stories that make Downtown Chico feel rich, connected, and beautifully diverse.
