The DCBA is dedicated to enhancing & maintaining Downtown Chico as a vital, thriving retail & cultural center.
Formed as a Downtown Parking and Business Improvement Area (DPBIA), the City of Chico assesses an additional fee on business licenses granted within the district boundaries (per Chico Municipal Code 3.34.010 – 3.34.140). Those funds are distributed to the DCBA, a nonprofit organization that has contracted with the City of Chico and is mandated to use the funds for one or more of the following purposes (CDC 3.34.090):
1.The acquisition, construction or maintenance of parking facilities for the benefit of the area;
2.Decoration of any public place in the area;
3.Promotion of public events which are to take place on or in public places in the area;
4.Furnishing of music in any public place in the area;
5.The general promotion of retail trade activities in the area

🎉 TONIGHT IS THE LAST THURSDAY NIGHT MARKET OF THE SEASON! 🎉
We’re closing out an incredible season of Thursday Night Market tonight, September 24, and we’re going out with a celebration! ❤️
Join us downtown from 6–9 PM for one last night of shopping, food, music, community and fun — plus special events throughout the evening, including a concert in City Plaza by Webster Moore! 🎶
As we look back on this season, one of our favorite memories was partnering with 3core and Tri Counties Bank to bring the Young Entrepreneur Program to Thursday Night Market. Watching young entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life, set up their businesses, connect with customers and experience what it means to be part of our downtown business community was truly special. 💙
Programs like this are a reminder that a strong community starts with a vibrant downtown — and that investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs helps build the future of our community.
Thank you to every vendor, business, sponsor, volunteer, performer and, most importantly, YOU for making Thursday Night Market such a special part of Downtown Chico this year.
🌟 Let’s make the final market of the season one to remember!
