First market ---> last market 😍 Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our final market day last weekend. It was a truly special day, and I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and kindness. A lot has changed in the twelve years between these two photos, but my love for our Chico community and our beloved farmers market is as strong as day one. We will miss you all ❤️

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that, after 12 wonderful years, Beber Almondmilk will be closing operations in August. Our final farmers markets will be on August 10th & 11th (17th for Chico), and we will continue selling to grocery stores through the end of August.

I opened Beber in 2012 at the age of 19 with a single booth at the Chico Farmers Market. I had learned to make almondmilk while volunteering on a farm the previous year, and I thought my friends in Chico would love it. I brought 30 quarts of almondmilk the first day, setting up under a cow print tent (the only one I could borrow) and hoping friends and family might buy a bottle. To my amazement, I sold out in 3 hours. 

12 years later, Beber has far exceeded my wildest expectations, and I am immensely proud of what my team and I have accomplished. Thanks to the support of our dedicated customers, Beber has grown to serve as many as 24 weekly farmers markets, supply over 65 of California’s best natural grocery stores, and employ a wonderful team across California. We sold north of one million bottles of almondmilk and created a unique and delicious line-up of flavors including year-round favorites like lavender and chocolate and seasonal specials like strawberry and almond nog. Throughout, we remained true to our mission of providing the highest quality, organic, farm to bottle almondmilk, keeping our operations in-house and filling every glass bottle with care and love.

As I reflect on this journey, I'm deeply humbled by the support I’ve received and want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. I'd like to thank the many mentors and peers in the NorCal business community; every friend and family member who offered their time, effort, and resources; every employee who contributed their hard work, skills, and great ideas; and our valued farmers market and retail partners who helped us share our products.

Most importantly, I want to thank you—our loyal customers—whose support and enthusiasm made Beber possible.
