AMain Hobbies ProTek RC team driver Spencer Rivkin is looking forward to Tuesday’s timed seeding round at the 2026 IFMAR World Championships at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, TX.
Spencer will be running in the fast heat of seeding practice (heat 15 of 15). SR’s Team Associated race program is supported with REDS RACING engine, TeamSavox servos, JConcepts Inc wheels/tires and body wing, and Futaba RC transmitter.

The ProTek RC Samurai RM.1 engine is one of the most popular power plants here at the 2026 IFMAR World Championships at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, TX.
After just a handful of racers were powered by the RM.1 at the the 2022 and 2024 World Championships in Spain, hundreds of racers worldwide have gone to the RM.1 for their engine needs over the past three years. Now the total number of drivers running the RM.1 engine here at Thornhill Racing Circuit is around 30, almost 20% of the event field.

AMain Hobbies ProTek RC team driver Jonah Wilson has found the pace today here at the IFMAR World Championships in Texas. Jonah’s at Sparko Racing program powered by the ProTek RC Samurai RM.1 engine with ProTek pipe and clutch is flying with a pair of Top 10 practice runs. Going to be fun watching the 19-year-old as we get into qualifying and racing later this week.
Team Associated Reedy Power pilot Brandon Rose is really dialing in here at the IFMAR Worlds at Thornhill Racing Circuit in Hutto, and is looking like a potential A-main Final qualifier. Brandon’s program is powered by the ProTek RC Samurai RM.1 engine with ProTek pipe and clutch. Good luck BRose!

This marks the 18th IFMAR World Championship (between 1/10 and 1/8 off-road disciplines) for ProTek RC team driver Ryan Maifield. Even at 40 years old now, RM is still a contender any time he hits the track. And this week at the 2026 IFMAR Worlds, Ryan is looking to scratch and claw his way into next Saturday’s one-hour final.
Ryan’s AMain Hobbies supported Tekno RC race program is dialed in with ProTek RC engine, clutch, pipe, batteries, and accessories along with JConcepts Inc wheels/tires, body/wing, and accessories, Flysky RC Model transmitter/receiver, and VP Racing Fuels.
