Celebrating 5 Years! 🎉

This week, we’re celebrating Kellie Emery and her 5-year anniversary at NorthStar!

Since joining the team in 2020, Kellie has become a valued member of our Civil Engineering team. As an Assistant II Civil Engineer, she enjoys the variety her role brings, from roadway projects and hydrology reports to commercial site design and onsite inspections. She also enjoys helping others learn and making sure everyone involved in a project feels like part of the team.

Some of the projects Kellie is especially proud of include the Cape Cod Apartments in Paradise and the CTHP Behavioral and Dental Clinic in Mendocino County. Both projects have a personal connection for her, allowing her to give back to communities that are close to her heart.

Outside of work, Kellie enjoys spending time with her dog, Rebel, tending to her roses and fruit trees, practicing yoga, reading fantasy books, and playing video games. Originally from Ukiah, she moved to Chico to attend Chico State and began her career with NorthStar shortly after graduating.

We're highlighting one of our past projects, the Enloe Gonzales Comprehensive Cancer Center.

NorthStar had the opportunity to work alongside HGA Architects and Engineers, Enloe Health, and Swinerton Construction on this state-of-the-art facility in Meriam Park. Our team provided engineering and surveying services including site design, grading, utility layout, construction administration, survey staking, and more.

What began as a vision in 2023 is now nearing completion, with the Cancer Center expected to open later this year. Designed to bring cancer care services together in one location, the facility will help serve patients and families throughout our region for years to come.

We're grateful to have played a role in a project that will have such a meaningful impact on our community.

NorthStar had a great time attending the 4th Annual Durham Baseball Golf Tournament at Bailey Creek Golf Course last Saturday.

We were also glad to further support Durham Baseball by sponsoring a hole during the tournament. It was a fun day spent with community members, supporters, and alumni all coming together to support Durham's baseball community.
