Work Training Center and Affiliated Programs
Additional support comes from fundraising, donations, private foundations, local governments, and contracts with private businesses and government agencies.
Since 1949, WTC has supported adults with disabilities in Butte County, fostering independence and community connections through work, life skills, and engagement. Funding for Work Training Center services is primarily provided through the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, and Department of Rehabilitation.

Saturday pickle morning! ๐ฅโ๏ธ
Started the day with a coffee, then headed to cooking class where we made a delicious new pickle recipe. A great way to spend the morningโlearning healthy recipes, enjoying fresh summer flavors, and having lots of fun!

๐งก June is National Safety Month!
At WTC, safety is a top priority! During National Safety Month, our employees participated in CPR and fire suppression training to build skills that help keep everyone safe.
A special thank you to Renee, our Safety Officer, for coordinating these valuable trainings and ensuring our team stays prepared.
And a huge thank you to Nurse Michelle for teaching us proper CPR techniques and sharing her expertise!

From bowling strikes to budgeting classes, May was packed with fun, learning, and new experiences! We enjoyed a variety of activities that brought everyone together, built new skills, and created great memories along the way.

Move over, burger competitionโthe queen has officially been crowned! ๐๐
The Sassy was the winning burger in our National Burger Day drawing competition, and honestly, we're not surprised. One bite is all it takes to see what the hype is about!
Big flavor, fresh ingredients, and the perfect bite every timeโThe Sassy captured the votes and claimed the top spot.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the drawing and showed love for their favorite burgers.

Work Training Centerโs main office and programs will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th.
We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and takes a moment to remember and honor those who have served.

Last Saturday, we enjoyed a wonderful visit to Turtle Bay. ๐ข๐

Happy National Receptionist Day to Cody!
Cody is a valued part of the WTC team and enjoys the people he gets to work with each day. Outside of work, Cody enjoys pizza, walking around at the Thursday Night Market, and cheering on his favorite teams, the San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49ers.
