Tonight’s reminder

I'm very happy with our best bull calf so far this year (one more calf expected). He is 6 weeks old now. We will let him grow out before making a decision on steering him. He is polled, A2/A2, non-chondro and PHA. He has a mellow personality like his sire, Glenn Land Mr George, and is out of one of our milk cows, Seven Acres Lavender.

We were hit with a microburst 🌪️today. One of the sows was giving birth. We only lost two piglets. One more is not doing to well. She’s a good mom so 🤞🏼.

Lulu had her calf today. A great looking bull. We were hoping for a heifer, but we’re happy he’s here big and healthy.

We had such a great time today with the first annual bbq cook-off. Thanks to the Bennet/Picard/Urrutia’s for holding your event here! Great food and a big thank you to the judges! Happy birthday to Liz, Anne Marie and Wyatt!

Lavender finally had her calf. It a boy! Now to get serious about milking and cheese making. Lulu is due May 11. 😁😳
