Chico FFA Chapter

We had a great end to the livestock shows with our lamb and steer exhibitors! They did a great job showing off their hard work in the ring. Today, Hog Exhibitor Claire Barron competed in Round Robin and was Reserve Junior Showman. So proud of all our exhibitors! Can't wait to see all of their supporters tomorrow at the Junior Livestock Auction!

Today was a great day for Chico FFA Hog & Rabbit exhibitors! We had several student place high in their classes thanks to all their hard work. Some notable market show placings: Chelsea Alderson had the Champion Hampshire Hog, Katarina Henman had the Champion All Other Purebred Hog. Emily Price had the Champion Pen of FFA Market Rabbits. In showmanship, Claire Barron was the Champion Junior Showman, Holly Konkin was the Reserve Champion Junior Showman, Chelsea Alderson was the Reserve Champion Senior Showman, & Emily Price was the Champion Junior Showman. We are so proud of all our exhibitors & can't wait to see what tomorrow's shows bring!

Congratulations to our next team of officers! They worked hard to earn a spot on the team, and we know they’re going to do a fantastic job!

We had an amazing weekend in San Luis Obispo competing in 3 Career Development Events. This year Agronomy placed 6th in the state & Soils placed 7th. BIG worked hard & are excited to try their hand at a new contest next year! We are so proud of their hard work!

We want to congratulate the members who were recognized last night for their hard work in their SAE's. 4 students -Tanner Horn, Andrew Hernandez, Alivia Lewis, and Samantha Smith - were awarded the State FFA Degree & 2 students - Natalia Hurtado and Parker Rollins - were presented with their plaques for winning the region in their proficiency areas of Ag Education and Poultry Production. We are so proud of these students!

Banquet is coming soon! We all hope to see you there, make sure you purchase your tickets by the 6th.

Please collect Red White and Blue cans and drop them off in your Ag Classes. 5 Cans is one Activity Point or 1 hour of Community Service.
