Artist Statement:

Lucia De Bono is an American abstract painter and album cover artist from Chico, CA. She loves using a multitude of vibrant colors in her kaleidoscope style abstract paintings. Her uniquely compelling tree pieces brilliantly come to life on canvas. Lucia finds solace, love and inspiration within the hues of nature.

Artist Statement:

I’m Hannah! I’m a multi-media artist inspired by California nature. I love exploring and celebrating themes of identity, beauty, and joy. I hope my work helps my viewers feel more connected to self, others, nature, or divinity. From both personal experience and observation of the world, I have become well-acquainted with grief. It’s this acquaintance that inspires me to create beautiful imagery. There’s enough pain in the world, and I hope my art can give my viewers a feeling of belonging and a brief respite of peace.

Artist's Statement: Bobbie Rae Jones

Bobbie Rae Jones, MA explores the essential nature of non-dualistic phenomena in relationships. Her art is illuminated with realizations gleaned through over twenty years of Vajrayana Buddhist Ta***ic practices; envisioning beauty stimulates channels in the body and awakens pleasure in the senses. This directly translates into her studio practice, where she uses realistic images in fantastical environments, creating narratives of the transcendent immersed in the human experience. Fascinated by the aesthetics found within the mystical, she responds to imagery within her interior world and awakened from her ancient indigenous ancestry. Welcoming the blessings descending from her maternal lineage, reclaiming virtue, she vibrantly embodies the traditional roles of a sensual and sexual woman respected and uplifted in community.

Come view some wonderful art, sip organic wine, mingle with artists and poets, and treat your ears to the crafted words of some of Chico's finest poets. Artist Statement: Ryan Littlefield

This piece is a humorous look at rituals before a sexual interlude, a cigarette to calm the nerves before he knocks on the door. It’s about the private moments before giving oneself to another. It’s a humorous vignette of self reflection before being made love to in a Santa Cruz Hotel.

Artist Statement:

When I bring through a painting, I am in deep conversation with Spirit. The practice is revealing, healing, and affirming. I create to remember who I am, to focus my mind and to integrate and draw insight from my experiences. Painting for me is absolute freedom, and the beauty and fulfillment from that is priceless.

Artist Statement:

Julianna Rose is a self taught artist. Her mediums range from oil paint to watercolor, pastels, charcoal and everything in between. With subject matter ranging from ethereal dream-scapes to realistic portraiture Julianna finds inspiration by wandering out to the woods around her home. She often recreates visions with photography, playing with light and depth, to use as a reference for her work.

Artist Statement:

This piece, like most of my work, is based in self-reflection. It is a reminder to those of us that feel compelled to shine upon this dark world, not to become cynical, but instead use humor to release negative energy through laughter.

Julia Flynn is a multimedia artist specializing in acrylic painting. She uses glazing methods to layer under and overtones to give her paintings depth. This technique is used to explore the concept of space-time and the human experience of perceiving a single instant in an infinite universe.
