Our Story
Before GarageBand, iTunes and Soundcloud: there was Soundscape. Founded by recording industry pioneer, Michael Kolar, Soundscape Studios has been guiding local and national artists toward sonic excellence since 1996. What began as a small project studio in his childhood home is now a dedicated facility on Chicago Avenue and has since recorded albums for artists and groups including Zane Malik, FKA Twigs, M.I.A., Chance The Rapper, George Clinton, Ludacris, Action Bronson, Raekwon, 2 Chainz, Naked Raygun, Crucial Conflict, No ID, Wyclef Jean, Talib Kweli, Vic Mensa, Jamila Woods, Chingy and others. From hip hop to punk rock, funk to metal, gospel to pop—Soundscape is equipped with complementing studios (A and B) for intimate and private sessions to record, mix and master all genres of music, analog tape sessions and voice over.
