Beat the summer heat! Here's how to stay cool and look out for each other this season ☀️

When temps climb to 90°+, cooling centers open up around the city to give anyone a break from the heat. Check out these South Side locations!

Call 311 if you need help finding a cooling center, or want to check in on a senior or unhoused neighbor, especially older adults and anyone without AC. Remember to drink water and wear light clothing 💙

Join us on August 1, 2026 for Senator Kimberly A. Lightford's 17th Annual Uplift Our Future Back-to-School Event. This fun-filled afternoon is designed to help students prepare for a successful school year with free school supplies, valuable community resources, and family-friendly activities.
