For this session, we combined both studio portraits and outdoor family photos at the park to capture a little bit of everything. The studio gave us a timeless, simple backdrop that kept the focus on connection and all of those little one-year-old details, while the park added space to play, explore, and document the family together in a more candid way.

For twin boys especially, the zoo gives us room to move. We are not asking them to stand still and perform for 30 minutes straight. We’re walking, laughing, chasing, exploring, snuggling, and occasionally bribing with snacks.

This first round was captured at Lincoln Park Zoo as part of the Spring Mini Sessions in May ✨

They really do grow up so fast .

I loved capturing these 8th grade promotion photos in the very same spot where she once insisted on wearing her Elsa dress for photos years ago. ✨

One minute it’s princess dresses and little kid giggles, and the next it’s graduation portraits and the start of a whole new chapter.

Getting to document families through all of these seasons is truly one of my favorite parts of this job.
