Hello to all you beautiful freaks 💕

I’ll be back at Highland this Sunday 4/19 from 1p-5p for their flea market, where I’ll be selling my wares.

To emphasize this point, here are some women I’ve drawn donning various pieces (that I’ll ALSO have for sale). This is much cuter than me trying to put on every single piece of clothing and accessory at once (and less sweaty, it’s so humid).

Come grab a coffee, buy a skirt or some art, and yap with me for a few hours ☕️

I’ve long utilized the same October 2005 copy of Nakayoshi magazine I bought at Mitsuwa’s Arlington Heights location. It was brand new, and - unlike America’s Shonen and Shoujo Jumps - I loved that it came with a free gift (it was a stationary set with a retractable multi color ink pen and I LOVED IT). Usually pages found their way into paper mache projects, because it looked really cool. I also actually did some business cards on them (but of course, they were too fragile for that).

I’ve been diving into paper a lot the last few years and thinking around with reuse. I found my stash of old flimsy business cards, and decided to give it a go with artwork (specifically digital drawings I love to find unique ways of printing).

I’m having a lot of fun playing around with this, stay tuned 🙂‍↔️
