Some dates are more than dates.

They become memories that a nation carries forever.

On September 11, 2001, thousands of innocent lives were lost. Families said goodbye to loved ones who never came home. Parents lost children. Children lost parents. First responders walked into danger knowing there were people who needed them—and many never walked back out.

Behind every number was a person.
Behind every person was a family.
Behind every family was a story that continues to this day.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military members, and everyday civilians who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the heroes who gave everything trying to save someone else.

And we remember the families who have carried that pain for 25 years.

Today, let us never forget what was lost.
Let us never forget the courage that was shown.
And let us never take for granted the people who run toward danger when everyone else is trying to get away.

May we continue to honor their lives by protecting one another, serving our communities, standing together, and choosing unity over division.

🚨 COMMUNITY SAFETY ALERT — LAWNDALE AREA 🚨

To all women in the Chicago area, PLEASE STAY AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS.

We are sharing this information for community awareness and safety purposes following a reported attempted armed sexual assault in the area of 935 S. Independence Blvd. around 4:30 AM.

According to the individual who reported the incident, the suspect was described as:

• Young male, reportedly 22 years old
• Brown complexion
• Dreadlocks
• Approximately 5’8”–5’9”
• Wearing a black Nike ski mask
• Wearing a black men’s robe
• Reportedly armed with a large firearm

The individual reported that the suspect attempted to sexually assault her while holding her at gunpoint. She was able to escape, and the suspect reportedly fired several shots as she ran away.

⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH OR ATTEMPT TO CONFRONT ANYONE YOU BELIEVE MAY BE THIS INDIVIDUAL.

If you have information that may assist investigators, please contact the Chicago Police Department or provide information through an appropriate official reporting channel.

Women traveling or working during overnight/early-morning hours: stay alert, travel with others when possible, remain aware of your surroundings, and trust your instincts.

Community Intelligence Unit (CIU) was honored to attend Chicago Police Department’s National Night Out!

National Night Out is about bringing communities and public safety professionals together to build stronger relationships, promote crime prevention, and create safer neighborhoods.

It was great seeing residents, community organizations, and our public safety partners come together with one common goal keeping our communities safe.

CIU remains committed to supporting community engagement, public safety initiatives, and building positive partnerships throughout Chicago.

Thank you to the Chicago Police Department, event organizers, community leaders, and everyone who came out to make this evening a success. Together, we are stronger.

📍 National Night Out Chicago

The Community Intelligence Unit (CIU), alongside one of our partner security companies, is currently assisting the 9th District and surrounding districts with monitoring a large teen gathering and block party in the areas of the 5100, 5300, and 5500 blocks of S. Princeton.

We are observing an estimated 100–200 teens and adults in the area. Some individuals are reportedly intoxicated and acting disorderly, and our teams are working alongside our public safety partners to help maintain a safe environment for everyone.

If you’re traveling through the area, please expect increased public safety activity and consider using alternate routes if possible.

We encourage everyone attending to make smart decisions, respect the community, and help keep the event peaceful and safe.

Today, we celebrate and honor Superintendent Larry Snelling on your retirement.

Thank you for your years of dedicated service, unwavering commitment, and leadership to the City of Chicago and the Chicago Police Department. Your impact on this city and the men and women who serve alongside you will not be forgotten.

What an amazing day at the Peace in the Park.
Our team at Community Intelligence Unit (CIU) had the opportunity to meet so many incredible community members, leaders, organizations, and partners who all came together with one common goal: promoting peace, unity, and safety.
Although our Deputy Director was recently injured in a car accident, he still made it a priority to come out and support the event and help ensure the safety and security of everyone in attendance. That level of dedication and commitment to serving the community truly speaks for itself.
A huge thank you to Dean Jones for inviting our company to be a part of such a meaningful event. We truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working together again in the future.
