I don't know anybody like Mike Knoll. One of kind. Family man, guy's guy, courageous, craft beer lover, Cubs fan, Dad jokes on demand, a pretty good whistler, and a great friend. All in all, the kind of person you want to be like.

Last November, Mike was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He never smoked, and other than the occasional craft beer and a little bourbon, he led a very healthy lifestyle.

In the last couple months, he's fought this disease with such strength, courage and optimism. This is a battle he will win, but it is a struggle.

We've organized a benefit for the Knoll family at Mike & Denise's Yorkville tomorrow (Sunday, March 1) from Noon-5pm. I'll be performing 2-4pm. It's $30 entry and there are some great raffle prizes.

Mike and his family have many, many friends, so it will be a big crowd. Everyone is welcome, so please come by and help support the cause.
