Poland uses drones to spot chained dogs using thermal cameras and help rescue them from neglect 🐕🚁

Authorities in Poland are increasingly using drones to identify cases where dogs are kept chained in conditions that may violate animal welfare laws. Equipped with thermal imaging and high-zoom cameras, these drones can detect body heat and observe living conditions, even at night or in remote areas.

Officials say the technology allows inspectors to assess whether dogs have enough space to move, as regulations require a minimum area and proper living standards. When potential violations are recorded, the footage can support further inspection and enforcement actions by local authorities.

The use of drones reflects a broader shift toward proactive monitoring in animal protection. Supporters say it helps prevent neglect before it escalates, while also encouraging owners to improve conditions. The approach highlights how technology is being used to strengthen enforcement of animal welfare rules.
