Not only does the Mississippi Blues Trail extend beyond the borders of the state, it also goes into other countries. This one in Cahors, France, celebrates the long-standing Cahors Blues Festival that has seen Mississippians perform including B.B. King, Otis Rush, Jimmy Johnson, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Eddie C. Campbell, Charlie Musselwhite Fan Page, R. L. Burnside, Louis Myers, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, Magic Slim, Willie Kent, Zac Harmon, John Primer, and Melvin Taylor. One of our current blues ambassadors, Alphonso Sanders, will take the stage at this year's event on June 14. Vive le blues!

Join us this Saturday at the Chicago Blue Fest and Blues Heaven Museum for two dynamic experiences of Muddy's Waters great nephew Keith Johnson, the Prince of Delta Blues, as we celebrate the reestablishing of our Mississippi - Chicago heritage connection. Keith Johnson and the Big Muddy Band will perform at multiple times and sites this weekend but we look forward specifically to his Mississippi Juke Joint Stage performance from 2:30 - 3:30PM Saturday and the 'Afterparty' to be held at Blues Heaven Museum (2120 S Michigan) Saturday night at 10p. There will be a small meet and greet with the Keith Johnson's band and the folks up from Mississippi at Blues Heaven Museum

Please be advised that there is a $20 entrance fee for the Blues Heaven Museum and Keith Johnson will have CDs on sell as well. We look forward to seeing you Saturday.
