Four years ago, our client was charged with first degree murder. The state had DNA on the gun, gunshot residue, a statement, video footage, witness identifications, and an arrest two blocks from the scene minutes after the shooting. We asked them to drop the charges. They said no.

So we asked the jury. Yesterday, after 18 witnesses and an 8-day trial, the jury said NOT GUILTY on first degree murder and NOT GUILTY on aggravated battery. If you or someone you know is facing a difficult situation, give us call, we help people in difficult situations.

In 2000, our client Anthony was brutally tortured by Chicago Police detectives into falsely confessing to a murder he did not commit. He was charged with First Degree Murder. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office sought the death penalty. He was convicted and sentenced to 45 years in prison.

In 2022, lawyers at Bedi & Singer, LLP began representing him. Since then, his conviction was overturned. His false, coerced, and tortured statement was suppressed. He was released from custody.

And today, after a five-day trial and nearly 26 years after being charged with a crime he did not commit, Anthony was found Not Guilty.
