Onpoint Patterns, Digitizing and Grading

As a small business owner, nothing drives me crazier than waste. Wasted time, wasted textiles, wasted energy. This is what remains of my plotters 300 yard roll of paper. Today was a good day! On to a new roll.

It was never on my radar but when presented with the opportunity to see what is arguably one of the most iconic dresses ever made, well I had to take a look. It did not disappoint.

Can we talk about how perfectly this pattern was cut? The lapel facings, welts, pockets, etc. all line up perfectly on the stripes. The left and right sides are balanced. This level of quality takes a lot team work between the ALL STARS MUST ALIGN. what’s my biggest personal pet peeve? Mass productions that disregard details.

When everything is running perfectly and then you accidentally print a tech pack to the wrong tray and they end up on shipping labels! For someone who can't stand waste, this hurts. At least the tech packs printed beautifully!

kicked things off with such grace and style last night. A perfect industry night networking and meeting the incredible talent Chicago has across all fashion industry facets.

Siri is a horrible assistant but we are pushing through.

Clearly invented on a day when schools were closed but work was not! I will take every chance to hang out with my tiny gentleman.
