Catholic Sisters Week
Catholic Sisters Week is a celebration of the lives and legacies of Catholic sisters every year from March 8-14 in conjunction with NWHM.
Catholic Sisters Week occurs March 8-14 every year as part of National Womenโs History Month. It is intended to shine a spotlight on the good works and good will of Catholic sisters. It recognizes past and present sisters, from the movers and shakers pressing the frontlines of social change to the faithful praying in cloistered chapels. Everyone is invited to participate in Catholic Sisters Week. Attend a storytelling event, engage in our social-media outreach or honor a sister in your own way. We hope youโll share your ideas and tributes!

During ๐๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ, we are grateful to celebrate the incredible women religious who dedicate their lives to faith, service, and love. Here at McGuire Memorial, we are especially blessed by the presence of our very own
Sister Grace radiates joy wherever she goes. Her contagious laugh, warm smile, and prayerful heart lift the entire McGuire community. She helps us remember that the work we do each day is truly a ministry of love.โ โ Michael
โI would imagine that when the average person thinks of a Catholic Sister, the word โhilariousโ may not be the first word to come to their mind. But let me assure you, Sister Grace is one of the most genuinely funny women that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She can truly bring a chuckle to anyone, even when our days may be full of stress and worry, and that is a TRUE BLESSING.โ โ Dan
โWith hearts anchored in prayer and hands ready for service, Sister Grace transforms โdoingโ into โdivine loveโ every single day at McGuire Memorial.โ โ Lauren
"Sister Grace is filled with s***k and spirit! She will just as easily hold a meeting that spirals into wonderful ideas for our mission as she cheers on the OLSH basketball team on the sidelines. Her support, energy and encouragement leave you wanting to go make a difference!" - Lisa
Thank you, Sister Grace, for your joyful spirit, faithful witness, and the love you bring to our community each and every day. ๐

The Gift of Hope: Strength for the Journey
In this heartfelt reflection, Sr. Marie Alice Ostry, ND, shares how hope has become the sustaining virtue of her life, strengthening her through prayer, community, and the quiet yet powerful presence of God. Through lifeโs challenges and blessings, she has come to recognize the many ways God โsteps inโ through people, prayer, and even Creation itself. We invite you to read this testimony of faith and discover how the gift of hope continues to expand through relationships with God, others, and the world around us.

Thomas Sweeney shares his reflection about how Sister Lois Wedl has impacted his life. ๐๐
"Sister Lois has always been full of Hope and Heart. I remember a time that I was visiting her. . . Lois was cooking breakfast. Then she turned to me, looked me deeply into my eyes and said, โTom, you are a good man!โ, I said, what? in disbelief! Without moving, she looked even more deeply into my eyes and again said, โTom, you are a good man!โ In that moment, I heard not Lois but Godโs voice in my heart. . . My life has been blessed with Loisโ Hope and Heart and for that I am most grateful."
