Singapore AUV Challenge 2026 - Sanya Edition 06/06/2026

Congratulations to the Singapore AUV Challenge!

Four days. Countless tests, tweaks, breakthroughs, and lessons learned.

From first dips in the practice pool to the pressure of qualification rounds and the excitement of the finals, SAUVC 2026 was a celebration of engineering, perseverance, and discovery. Every robot had a story, every team had a journey.

This year was especially significantโ€”the first time in its 11-year history that SAUVC ventured beyond its home in Singapore and into Sanya. A new venue, a new country, but the same spirit of innovation, friendship, and competition that has defined SAUVC from the very beginning.

Hereโ€™s a glimpse of the moments that made this competition unforgettable.

We are honored to have been featured on IEEE on World Water Day for one of our most popular events, the Singapore AUV Challenge ! This event brings together more than 400 students worldwide each year to participate in an underwater robotics competition, with lots of hands-on learning, technical talks, interactions, networking and fun !

The event has easily established itself in the underwater robotics landscape, and has led to many students joining careers in the underwater domain, or even doing startups in this burgeoning field.

This year, the event will be held in Sanya, alongside our flagship Oceans Conference , giving the teams a chance to participate in this double opportunity and learn from the best at the conference ! The OES innovation award this year awards the top 3 teams with best designs, and allows them to present their poster at the OCEANS conference.
