A memory from 9 years ago with the highly acclaimed actress, producer, director and humanitarian Kerry Washington while in NY. Wife of former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back, Nnamdi Asomugha who is also an amazing film and theater actor, producer, director and humanitarian. A memory my sons will love.

Remembering seven years ago at the East Orange, NJ community support event, initiated by Fire Chief Andre Williams and Deputy Chief of Staff Akeem Cunningham, with Rasul Douglas who just won Super Bowl LII with the Philadelphia Eagles, giving back to their community. It was a joy to help support the event with my friend, Akeem, who has been instrumental in making a significant positive impact for the community as the youngest elected official to the city council and now Deputy Chief of Staff.

Ten years ago, at the Pulmonary Horizons conference in Miami, FL, it was amazing how time goes by so quickly, and life changes, yet many things remain the same. Pictured with my two colleagues who worked hard to make our vision a reality: Bob McCoy, RRT, FAARC, and Brian Carlin, MD, FCCP. Our patient and family representatives, including Jim and Mary Nelson, were invaluable to our collective efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of patients diagnosed with COPD.

Memory from today, 21 years ago, in the Senate Dirksen Office Building with Senator Patrick Leahy, after the Senate Judiciary Committee questioned Attorney General John Ashcroft about the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I was lobbying as the corporate director for Apria Healthcare. It was a surreal experience to view the hearing from the Chair of the Judiciary Committee chambers, then to have the Chairman, Senator Leahy, share with me his frustration having just returned from a trip to Normandy on Air Force One with President Bush.

Memory from 10 years ago today in Chicago with Jeff Smiseck, former CEO and Chairman of United Airlines and current President, GOOSE Capital active investors in venture capital. Jeff was with Continental Airlines before they were merged with UAL. It was a privilege to have access to the leadership at UAL, and Jeff’s unceremonious departure was the major reason for me switching to Delta Air Lines. After seeing this pic in my memories my sons now know why I rock a beard or goatee.

Memory from today 15 years ago with my big bro Ottis “OJ” Anderson, Super Bowl XXV, MVP with the New York Giants; during the launch of the Concussion Services for K-12 sports when I was the VP of Clinical Operations for Saint Clare’s Health System in NJ. We modeled the program after The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC)’s concussion protocol, which emphasizes a multi-faceted approach to concussion management, including early recognition, thorough assessment, individualized treatment plans, and a stepwise return-to-play protocol. We had some fun times!!

Memory 13-years ago at Francis Ford Coppola Winery (Director of The Godfather I, II, III, Patton, Apocalypse Now). He signed a bottle of my fave 2012 Pinot Noir Diamond Collection in Geyserville, California. His wife Eleanor took our picture. Looking forward to taking my sons to see the 1948 Tucker at the winery 💕🙏

Midyear (Q2) Board of Directors Dinner. Great to see colleagues and executive team in person!

With Dikembe Mutombo Mukamba Wamutombo nine years ago in Atlanta on his way to Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital, which he founded in his native Democratic Republic of the Congo. Dikembe is not only a great NBA legend but also a humanitarian. Just a foot taller but in person larger than life!
