Dance Peace is proud to partner with Heartland Human Care Services to offer meaningful dance sessions for unaccompanied teens navigating complex circumstances. Dance provides a space for creative expression, physical well-being, personal healing, cultural exchange, peer connection, and yes, even laughter and joy. 💛 Meet our instructor team for this season: Jordan Ordoñez-Guimarães, Katie DeSalvo, and Sandy Perez.

We’re also continuing to offer a scholarship opportunity for refugee dancers ages 7+ through our valued partnership with Music House.

Dance Peace just received the devastating news that that three of the four shelters for unaccompanied asylum seekers/ migrant youth we work with are being closed due to federal government actions. Our hearts are with these awesome teenagers. Their love for dance at such a critical time in their lives has been palpable. Our thoughts also go out to the staff at our partner agencies being furloughed from their jobs.

Brand new dance bags for Dance Peace! Each includes a colorful tag, water bottle, new pair of tights, dance hair kit, and a lovely handmade card. Thanks to Hakafa for this generous donation and time packing the bags with such care! We love them! They will be so useful during our upcoming Spring Dance Recital with Music House.

Dance Peace stands with all of our dancers and their families.
