When most people hear "chiropractor," they picture a neck crack or a back adjustment. And yes, that happens. But modern chiropractic is about much more. It's about how your spine influences everything. Your posture. Your movement. Your nervous system. How pain travels through your body.
If your neck is stiff from years of desk work, so are your shoulders, wrists, hips, and pelvis. Come take care of it now.
We work with everyone from software engineers to nurses to accountants to people who just want to move through their day without their spine reminding them it exists.

August is done. September starts Monday. π
Whatever you accomplished this month with your wellness, keep it going. September has its own chaos (work ramping, school settling, daylight getting shorter), and that's when people drop their routines. If you've been thinking about starting something or restarting what fell away, September is a perfect reset point.

August is National Wellness Month, and we're thinking about what wellness actually means in healthcare.
It's not just the absence of illness. It's the ability to show up fully for your life. To carry your kid without pain. To sit at a desk without tension. To sleep through the night. To manage stress without it settling into your shoulders.
That's integrative care.
We're here when you're ready!

Your kid's desk posture just became your problem. πͺ
New school year means kids are sitting at desks for six hours a day. Bad desk posture now sets them up for pain later. And if they're hunching, you're probably hunching too as you work from home or the office.
Do this posture reset:
β Elbows at 90 degrees. Keyboard and mouse at elbow height, not below.
β Screen at eye level. Not down at your chest. Not up at your forehead.
β Feet flat on the floor or footrest. Dangling feet cause pelvic tilt.
β Shoulders back and relaxed. Imagine a string pulling the crown of your head up.
Check your kid's setup. Check your own. Small adjustments prevent months of pain.

Your postpartum posture is sabotaging you. π
β
Stand tall during feeds. Use a pillow to bring the baby up to you, not your shoulders down to them.
β
Change sides. If you always hold baby on the right, you'll develop a lopsided tension pattern.
β
Stretch your chest and shoulders daily. Open shoulders counteract the hunching.
If the pain isn't budging, we can help realign and release the tension.

Back-to-school season hits different when you're the parent. π«π
Shopping for supplies, organizing schedules, remembering new teacher names,
managing the anxiety of your kid's social life. Plus your own work ramping back up. It's a lot. And stress has a way of settling into your body.

Backpack season is here π
Kids and parents alike are carrying heavier loads into the new school year.
A loaded backpack can pull the spine out of alignment and create pain that sticks around for
months if ignored.

Air conditioning is a lifesaver in July heat. It's also a setup for muscle tension. Extreme temperature shifts stress muscles. Sweat and friction irritate joints. Dehydration worsens everything.
How to manage the AC effect:
β Dress in layers you can shed
β Stay hydrated despite the cold environment
β Stretch regularly. Muscles contract in cold air
β Warm up before intense activity outdoors
β Use heat therapy or massage at home for tight spots
Small shifts prevent big problems. If AC-related tension persists, we can help release it.

Concerts, outdoor festivals, summer weddings. Standing for hours on concrete. Sitting on uncomfortable blankets. Your spine pays the price.
Before the event:
β Do a quick 10-minute mobility routine
β Stay hydrated all day
β Wear supportive shoes you've actually broken in
During:
β Change position every 30 minutes
β Stand if you're sitting, sit if you're standing
β Stretch your hip flexors and glutes
After:
β Gentle stretching
β Heat or ice for sore spots
β Address acute pain before it becomes chronic

Modern stress leaves ancient patterns in your body. Anxiety, screen fatigue, heat stress, travel disruption, sleep loss. All of it gets stored as tension. Your nervous system gets stuck in high alert.
Acupuncture resets the nervous system at a basic level. We activate your parasympathetic response. Calm the stress cycle. Restore balance. Your body remembers what relaxation feels like.
If your nervous system needs a reset, acupuncture works.
