What does that mean for you? All that whirlwind romance inspires me to get a little more 🌶️ spicy with my poses (ya know, as long as you two are comfy with that + it matches your relationship vibe).

The official etiquette when you're wearing multiple rings? Wear your wedding band closest to your heart (🥹).

Which means you've got 2 options when it comes to exchanging rings during your wedding ceremony:

1️⃣ Wear your engagement ring on your right hand. That way you can easily stack it on top of your band.

But if you're anything like me, your right hand ≠ your left hand when it comes to ring sizing. That leaves you with...

2️⃣ Do nothing (yet). Just leave your engagement ring on your left hand and, post-recessional, swap the two bands.

^^My advice? Wait until you have a quiet moment alone vs. trying to juggle expensive rings while everyone's fighting for a hug.

Touchin' on another taboo topic today: $$$. Specifically, tipping.

I've gotten a fair share of last-minute, late-night texts from brides & grooms saying "SO EXCITED FOR THIS WEEKEND! Now, real talk, how much should I tip you and how do you want it?"

🙅🏻‍♀️ I do NOT want to be the source of any 11th-hour stress, so I’m here to set the record straight on what wedding photographers (at least, those in the Chicago area), “expect” when it comes to tips.

I'd like to personally thank hotel lobbies, Accuweather, and Tote umbrellas for getting us through the past two wedding weekends. Chicago really went all-in on "April Showers" ☔

But the real MVPs have been my couples. They fully embraced everything Mother Nature threw at them and didn't let the rain put a damper on their day.

If the thought of a rainy wedding's got you stressin', here are 3 quick tips to make the most of your day if rain's on the radar:

1️⃣ Load up on bubble umbrellas. I recommend the bulk packs on Amazon to save some $$. But if you're not a Bezos fan, Target's got ya' covered.

Plan on having 1 umbrella for every 2 people in the wedding party (including the couple).

2️⃣ When you're finalizing your photo locations, ALWAYS decide on a bad-weather backup. My favorite rain-plan spots:
- Museums (like the Art Institute)
- Greenhouses (like Garfield Park Conservatory)
- Historic Buildings (like Union Station)
- Cool hotel lobbies (like Chicago Athletic Club)

3️⃣ Remember that, rain or shine, you get to marry your best friend. 'Nuff said. Mic drop. 🎤
