Wine-focused Chicago restaurant featuring Midwestern takes on Mediterranean dining classics. avec has been a Chicago favorite for over 19 years.
Originally conceived as a wine bar, avec is the second concept from celebrated One Off Hospitality. While wine still remains at avec’s core, the rustic menu features ingredients from valued local purveyors for weekend brunch and dinner service seven days week. The wine list, while extensive, remains moderately priced and draws primarily from boutique vineyards in Southwestern Europe.

sami ghosn is the co-founder and owner of massaya winery, the family-run lebanese winery rooted in the beqaa valley. alongside his brother ramzi, sami helped revive his family’s estate in the early 1990s and tea from it into one of lebanon’s leading modern wine producers.
