🐻⚾️CUBS WIN⚾️🐻 Cubs Win #35 to avoid the sweep in Colorado! Cabrera had a better outing then his last, going 5.1 innings with 5 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks and 5 K’s. The bullpen looked good, pitching 3.9 innings, giving up only 1 run. Cubs offense came alive (finally), scoring 9 runs, starting with a grand slam in the 4th by Suzuki, a single hit by Busch scoring Swanson, and Happ with a sacrifice fly scoring Bregman in the 5th. Not finished yet, Bregman hit a homer in the 7th, then Kelly in the 8th. Cubs went on to win, and hopefully get us out of our slump, 9-2.

CUBS WIN #34!!! The Chicago Cubs took the second game of their weekend series against the San Francisco Giants in dramatic fashion, 3-2.

Pete Crow-Armstrong had himself quite a day at the plate. With the Cubs trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning, he launched a solo home run to tie the game.

Then, with the Cubs down to their final out in the bottom of the ninth, PCA did it again, crushing another solo shot to even the score and force extra innings.

After Ryan Rolison held the Giants scoreless in the top of the tenth, Michael Busch ripped a single to right field. That allowed Dansby Swanson to score the winning run after Giants right fielder Victor Bericoto committed a fielding error while trying to pick up the ball.

🐻⚾️Cubs Win⚾️🐻 Cubs Win #33 in walkoff fashion! PCA was tonight’s hero with his 9th homer in the 6th, and the walkoff single in the 9th. Happ added with a 2 run CuBomb in the 7th, and Cubs avoid the sweep winning 7-6. A MUCH needed win, and a much needed offensive 9th inning!!

CUBS WIN #32!!! The Chicago Cubs take the 2nd game of the weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 6-1.

Ben Brown gave a much needed dominant performance from the starting rotation. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run and striking out six.

Pete Crow-Armstrong had himself quite the day at the plate: he went 4 for 5, with 2 runs scored, 1 home run and 2 RBI. Oh, and he ended the game with a phenomenal sliding catch in left center field.

🐻⚾ CUBS WIN ⚾🐻 Cubs Win #31 Beating Paul Skenes & the Pirates 7-2. Cubs scored their first 2 runs on bad defense then Happ hit a 2-run homer in the 8th to put the game out of reach. Happ has reached base in 41 consecutive games at PNC Park an MLB record for any baseball park.

Rea pitched 5⅓ to pick up his 5th win. Cubs are off to St. Louis to play 3 night games this weekend. This win put the Cubs in second place.
