I was not prepared for the phrase "cinnamon doo-doo" to become part of hip-hop history.

Yet here we are.

Healing doesn't come with a deadline.

People love telling you to move on, but they weren't there when your reality was being rewritten. They didn't spend months trying to figure out what was true and what wasn't. They didn't have to sit with the betrayal, replay conversations in their head, or wake up every morning wondering how somebody they loved could smile in their face while slowly tearing their life apart.

Some wounds heal in weeks. Others take years. There is no clock on recovering from something that changed the way you see people, trust people, or trust yourself.

If you're rebuilding your confidence, your finances, your health, your peace of mind, or simply learning how to enjoy life again, take the time you need. Healing isn't about getting over it. It's about becoming someone stronger because of it.

I took that pain and made an album out of it.

Been experimenting with different recording environments. This one surprised me.

The engineer in me hates it. The results say otherwise.

Don't judge it until you hear the vocals.

Sometimes the best ideas happen when you stop worrying about how something looks and start paying attention to what actually works.

This setup wasn't part of the plan, but after a few test recordings, I kept coming back to it. You can laugh now... just wait until you hear the rough mix.

Everybody got that one story where they ignored every red flag because they wanted to believe the best in somebody. Then one day that person opened their mouth and said something so ridiculous, so selfish, so disconnected from reality, that everything finally made sense.

The Y.D.L.B. Archives: Warning Signs is a collection of the things people wish they would've paid attention to sooner.

Some of it is funny. Some of it is painful. Some of it will have you staring at your screen wondering how you ever tolerated it.

One of the fastest ways to kill creativity is to surround yourself with people who have none.

Every idea gets questioned.
Every dream gets laughed at.
Every risk gets labeled as unrealistic.

After a while, you stop creating because you're constantly defending your vision instead of building it.

Pay attention to the people around you. Are they inspiring you to think bigger, create more, and explore new possibilities? Or are they teaching you to play small because that's where they're comfortable?

The world doesn't move forward because of people who color inside the lines. It moves forward because somebody was willing to imagine something nobody else could see.

Protect your creativity.
Protect your imagination.
Protect your environment.

Because the wrong people can turn a visionary into a spectator.
