Euphoria might understand something about sacred texts that many churches forgot.
This week we explore why humans keep returning to sacred words, stories, and wisdom when life gets hard.

Here’s a Facebook post draft with a little energy and intrigue to it:
This Saturday at FREE Recovery Community - Chicago, we’re honored to welcome Mesh Tandon as our guest storyteller.
Mesh has led workshops and conversations around the country focused on meditation, spirituality, mindfulness, and the journey toward deeper healing and awareness. But more than that, he’s someone with a story worth hearing.
At FREE, we believe transformation happens when people get honest about where they’ve been, what they’ve survived, and what they’re still learning. Mesh brings a perspective shaped by deep spiritual practice, lived experience, and a passion for helping people reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
Whether you’re deeply spiritual, spiritually curious, in recovery, questioning everything, or just looking for a place to breathe for a moment — this is a night you won’t want to miss.
☕ Coffee & Connection — 5:30 PM
🕊️ Gathering Begins — 6:00 PM
🏐 Volleyball & Connection After
Come experience a community where honesty matters and everyone belongs.

What keeps us grounded when life feels overwhelming, chaotic, lonely, or uncertain?
This summer at FREE Recovery Community - Chicago, we’re beginning a brand new series called **GROUNDED** — a conversation about spiritual practices that help us reconnect with ourselves, each other, and something bigger than us.
We’ll explore practices like prayer, meditation, sacred texts, ritual, confession, and learning how to come home to ourselves in a world that constantly tells us to run, hide, numb out, or pretend.
This series will be deeply honest, spiritually curious, recovery-informed, and open to people from every background — whether you grew up religious, left religion behind, are exploring spirituality for the first time, or don’t know what you believe anymore.
Because maybe spiritual practices aren’t about becoming someone else.
Maybe they’re about becoming fully present to who we already are.
☕ Coffee & Connection — 5:30 PM

✨ BIG NEWS, COMMUNITY ✨
We’re excited to announce a new rhythm for FREE Recovery Community starting this week!
☕ Coffee & Connection — 5:30 PM
🕊️ Gathering Begins — 6:00 PM
🏐 Volleyball & Hang Time After
We’re making this shift to create even more space for what makes FREE special: great atmosphere, deep connection, laughter, community, and showing up for each other beyond the gathering itself.
Come early for coffee. Stay late for volleyball. Bring a friend.
There’s room for you here. 💛
What does it mean to stay true to yourself—especially when life pulls you in different directions?
In this message, we explore integrity—not as perfection, but as alignment. It’s about living in a way that reflects who you really are, even when it’s uncomfortable, inconvenient, or misunderstood. Integrity is less about what you say and more about how you show up.
If you’ve ever felt the tension between who you are and who you’re expected to be, this message invites you to come back to what is real, honest, and true in your life.

There’s a point in the process where it stops feeling exciting… and starts feeling exhausting.
You’ve made some changes. You’re trying to build something new. And instead of everything coming together, it’s slow. Messy. Unclear.
And you start to wonder… is this actually going anywhere?
This week at FREE, we’re talking about what it looks like to keep going in that space—not with fake positivity, but with a kind of faith that trusts something is still being built, even when you can’t see it yet.
We’re also excited to welcome Craig Carrico as our Guest Storyteller, sharing part of his journey with us.

Sometimes your life can look right on paper…
but something in you knows it doesn’t feel right.
That quiet sense of: “this isn’t it.”
Not dramatic. Not obvious. Just enough to make you wonder if you’re actually living your life… or performing a version of it.
This Saturday at FREE, we’re talking about what it means to be honest about who you are—and what it looks like to stop shape-shifting to fit every room you walk into. Not perfection. Not having it all figured out. Just alignment. Just integrity. Just being real.
We’ll also hear from Ryan Balla as our guest storyteller, sharing part of his story with us.
Coffee at 6:30. Gathering at 7.
Come as you are.

🎶 Special music this Saturday at FREE 🎶
We’ve got Katie Noland joining us from St. Louis.
There’s something about live music that just opens up the room a little differently—creates space to feel, reflect, and be present in a way that’s hard to force.
Looking forward to this one.
