With these performances, we’ve made a point of integrating myself into the orchestra for maximum connectedness. Sometimes with these “cross-over” type shows, the band is separated from the orchestra by baffles and in-ear monitors, causing them to play in parallel rather than as a single unit.

It takes a lot of energy but it’s worth it. Onward to North Bethesda.
