To the moms who are holding it all together — and the ones who are barely holding it together — happy Mother's Day.

To the ones who cried in the bathroom, then came back out and made the snack anyway. The ones who said "I'm fine" when they weren't. The ones who lie awake replaying the hard moments of the day and forget to count all the good ones.

You are so deeply in it right now. The chaos, the noise, the mental load that never fully powers down. The love that is so BIG it sometimes comes out sideways.

I photograph families because I believe these years deserve to be remembered — not the perfect version, the real version. The messy, loud, tender, ridiculous, sacred version.

So today, and everyday, I hope someone sees you. Really sees you and all that you do for the littles in your life.

Happy Mother's Day. 🤍

One of the coolest parts of my job: being surrounded by bad ass entrepreneurs and moms running their own businesses and households. Women are truly amazing.

We don’t need flowers or lotions or mugs. We just want to be seen. R e a l l y seen.

Two years ago Kevin made a short video of all pictures of me and the kids, including a ton I had never seen. Were they all totally flattering and gorgeously edited? Heck no (I’m still working really hard with him on angles). Did I care? No way. I cried like a baby and felt so loved.

This idea won’t take you hours, and it’s FREE!

I’m curious. What’s the best Mother’s Day gift you’ve ever received?

Feeling extra ✨rich✨ lately.

The dishwasher is half empty.
There are still groceries on the counter.
It’s 1:35pm and I haven’t eaten lunch yet.
One is playing in his room. One is at the cubs game with her dad.
I should edit those photos.
I should throw a load of laundry in.
I should grab the liquid ant traps that Amazon delivered three hours ago.
I should answer those two texts from this morning.

I should hold her. Because one day, I won’t get to.
