Taking the weekend off is apparently a state of mind. 😂

Because somehow I can sit down for dinner and immediately start wondering if the table should move, the chairs should swap, or the lighting needs to come down six inches.

The designer brain does NOT clock out. 🙈

Please tell me I’m not the only one who mentally rearranges every restaurant I walk into.👇🫣

You’re going to start seeing pleats EVERYWHERE now. 👀

They’ve always had a place in interiors, but we’re loving all the ways they’re showing up lately -from lampshades and curtains to furniture skirts, upholstery + all those little details in between.

And that’s what we love about them. A pleat doesn’t have to scream for attention. It adds texture, movement and just enough personality to make you look twice. 🤎

So yes… we may officially be entering our pleat-everything era.

Piping! We’re here for it. 🙌🏼

It’s such a small detail, but that little contrasting edge can completely change a piece. A sofa suddenly feels more tailored. A neutral chair gets a little personality. A headboard, pillow, banquette… honestly, I’m starting to think there’s nowhere piping doesn’t belong. 👀

And this is exactly why I love custom furniture so much. You can choose a fabric you love, then have a little fun with the details that make it feel completely your own.

So this week’s scroll has officially convinced me: more piping, please.

Now I need to know… are you going subtle or bold with yours?👇

Meg’s Tuesday Tip 🤎

One of the coolest parts of building MegMade has been realizing that what we get to share goes so far beyond furniture and beautiful homes.

It’s the ideas we’re excited about, the things we’re learning, the trends that make us laugh, the risks we take, the season of life we’re in, and yes… plenty of life with four very energetic boys. 😂

And somewhere in all of that, we get to connect with YOU.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to show up online as yourself while building something you really love and why your content doesn’t need to speak to absolutely everyone to mean something.
