Doing some airport English Paper Piecing to soothe the soul. Not a good week around here, but pulling a few stitches through some favorite prints is a good way to rest my mind. Almost home 💛

There are a few spots left… I hope you will join me this Sunday! I’ll be leading a workshop with my pattern Zen Blocks at on May 22, 2022 12:30-4:00. There will be pattern hacks for fussy cutting, using orphaned quilt blocks, and chain piecing for speedy set finishes. The printed pattern and rice filling are included in the workshop price. You will leave the workshop with a set of 6 finished blocks! Make a set for you and for a friend. Heck, come with a friend! 👯♀️

All panels are quilted. Diamond grid, of course. Burying thread ends with help from Kevin, on quality control. Next up: cut the pattern pieces for the quilt coat. 😬😬😬😮😮😮😬😬😬

Sandwiched, pin-basted, and being marked for quilting after a small trial-run in the bottom corner, there. Destined to become a quilt coat ✨ Top edge is turned back to show the coat lining. Alison Glass lawn from 2016 and still a favorite. Background is an AG print too.

Quilt coat panel progress. I have both sleeves, the hood, and the back pieced! The front is about 60% pieced. I’m spinning all the seams so the pressing is taking a little longer with all the pre-work for seam nesting, but the finished panels are SOOOOOO FLAT 🤩 Up next: quilt the panels!!

Destined to be a quilt coat! After all the maths, this should be enough for 1/3 of the pieces. I will need 444 HSTs 🤣😩🥳 I’ll make sure all is well before I cut the rest.
