A lot of times the very thing God called you to do is the one thing you don’t want to do, nor feel qualified to do. Do it anyway. I’m called to preach but I often don’t want to nor feel qualified to do so. Most of your favorite pastors DID NOT want to be a pastor. But they were obedient.

What has God called you to do that you didn’t want to do?

Sometimes God waits until you become content to move you to the next level. 1 Timothy 6:6 “Godliness with contentment is great gain”

God can do more with nothing than we could do with everything. This has been a tough season for me but the Lord has kept me and matured me in it. The hardest lesson for me has been timing. Waiting on his an appointed time.

God wants the best for you. Not just enough for you. He loves you too much for the bare minimum.

People will be people. People will hurt you. People will abandon you. People will talk about you. But don’t go to church for people, go to church for Jesus. We live in a privileged time where there is a church for everybody. If people hurt you in a church, do your best and let God lead you to another. There is no excuse for wrongdoing from the people in the church. But Jesus didn’t hurt you, people did.

Seek Jesus for yourself.

There was a time when I was working hard doing ministry and music but I felt distant from the Lord. I asked why and he said to me “Son you’re trying hard to do things for me, without me”

We have to make sure that we don’t get too busy for God. And when we feel that distance from God that we address it immediately. The more you miss God, the less you’ll miss God.
