Come enjoy free, family-friendly concerts in the parks next week! We'll celebrate the life and music of Florence Price, Chicago native and the first black female composer to be performed by a major US symphony - but also so much more. Bring a chair or blanket and join us in the parks! All concerts start at 5:30pm.

Join us for our works in progress showcase of "Her Only Light": a new staged performance of the music of Connie Converse, one of the great lost musical voices of the 20th century. Chicago composer Ronnie Kuller has lovingly re-worked Converse’s music into new arrangements for a chamber ensemble of strings, woodwinds, and harp, with the vocal part performed by singer and interdisciplinary artist Emmy Bean.

Sara Coral and her incredible band will open. Don't miss it!
