World Language High School is committed to the development of young people. The high school had been promised, but was put on hold for monetary issues.
The Campus History
On May 13th, 2001 fourteen community residents of Little Village neighborhood staged a nineteen day hunger strike demanding the construction of a new high school. Almost four years later the Little Village Lawndale High School Campus opened its doors to four hundred students in the fall of 2005. The 22nd Ward is proud to honor Chicago Public Schools security officers for exemplary service and courage. 👏👏👏
Yesterday at City Council we recognized Richard Christian and Hector Rodriguez for their decades of dedication, leadership, and bravery. As longtime CPS security officers, they have not only protected school grounds but built trust with students, staff, and families.
In a recent incident at Little Village Lawndale High School, Officers Christian and Rodriguez responded swiftly and courageously to a potential threat, helping protect a student and assist law enforcement. Their actions reflect the vital role school security officers play every day, not just as first responders but as mentors, role models, and pillars of our school communities.

Family Night is tomorrow. All families are invited to join us from 4-6pm. We will have sessions with each content department for a learning experience, with counseling for information on next year's scheduling process and choices, and with our ELL support staff on Knowing your Rights.
