I have heard so many ridiculous political commercials that my ears feel like they are bleeding! It is too much irresponsible rhetoric.

GO SIT IN THE CORNER WHILE I GET THE SOAP.

In 2001, I founded a nonprofit organization designed to help women and girls. Several family members and sister/friends rolled up the sleeves and donated their time, money, and energy to help my vision. I am forever grateful to them, Deborah Ann Adams, Violet Davis, Gwendolyn Yarbrough-Gordon, Rhonda Glover, Yvette Thompson-Gordon, Tonia C. Williams, Patricia Allen, Tasha Pierce Nelson, Lisa Pipkin, and Janette M. Evans.

All of the proceeds from the events were donated to women’s who needed help with college tuition and other women led programs. I am proud to share the life changing passion of one of our recipients, Ms Nykiiah Wright. She is a testament to what a few people can do if we work together and her innate drive to succeed.

I am more than proud of Nykiiah she went back to school and received bachelor's and master's degree in special education. Armed with her degrees in hand she founded Miss Nikki’s Traveling Bag. Armed with the gifts of teaching and storytelling, she noticed a shortage of books in the schools she visited in Africa (Ghana and Benin). One school, Knowledge Hub Educational Facility, asked if she could assist them with obtaining books for their school in Kasoa, Ghana and the rest is history. She takes books to the school every year.
