The inaugural WINGS luncheon took place today at the historic Miami Woman’s Club. We are so appreciative of Metris Bates-Coley, the President who welcomed us. A special thanks to Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez-Rundle for graciously introducing the keynote speaker, Denise Brown. Denise delivered a powerful and inspirational address, sharing her unwavering commitment to ending domestic violence and honoring the legacy of her sister, Nicole Brown Simpson.

WINGS has been Chicagoland’s largest anti-domestic violence agency providing shelter, education, and support for men, women, and children since 1985. This luncheon was to create awareness and help stop domestic violence in Miami.

Michelin-starred Next is reopening Charlie Trotter's restaurant for 2 weeks The acclaimed restaurant is teaming up with Charlie Trotter’s son to reopen the Lincoln Park restaurant for a short run. Grant Achatz, the chef at Next, trained under Trotter.

"I believe that all of Palm Beach County will become the most important county in this country," he told the county commissioners at a meeting in August. "This whole county in the future will become what Silicon Valley is today."
