On My 75th Birthday

This is my Declaration of Gratitude and Praise to my God, my King, my Lord and Savior, for the boundless love bestowed upon me.
I am overflowing with gratitude, thankfulness, and blessedness.
Right here, right now, I transcend the realm of entitlement, complaint, and anxiety, stepping through the gateway of gratitude into profound encounter, communion, and the boundless presence of the radiant Giver.
The gateway swings open not through eloquent words, but through remembrance: every breath, every mercy, every moment, every forgiveness—every blessing unearned, yet freely received.
And here lies the truth: the gateway of gratitude surrounds me, permeates every facet of existence—God's majestic creation shines bright like a saturating sunrise, a lone bird soars effortlessly across the sky, the warmth of a stranger's smile, the laughter of a giggling granddaughter, the loving care of my daughter, the heartfelt calls and messages from family members, the unwavering support of my church family, the camaraderie of my Follies comrades and friends old and new, and cherished memories of global travels and missionary years.
The gateway of gratitude is omnipresent. With gratitude, I march forward into the future. Thank you, God.
