Iceland has waterfalls everywhere! So many that at the end of our two week journey, I’d expect another after driving just few miles. Oh! And there would be one.
Never have I ever seen so much beauty concentrated in one place.

“Shark fin”

This was my first time in California. Coming from Chicago, I went to only place which we do not get around here, Ocean.

I have been to mighty pacific coastline in Oregon, this one brought back fond memories of that. I am fascinated by how wild entire pacific coast is. Ruggedness of the coast appeals to me more than calm sandy beaches. This one is called Shark fin cove !

“Fires of heaven”

One of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen and that too in not so pleasant weather.

But then that’s the thing about landscape photography, some of the most amazing moments in nature happen when its not warm & sunny and you just have to be there to see it, experience it and capture it.

This was -10F but totally worth it !

Wild bison survive deep freeze in greater Yellowstone ecosystem, they move their massive heads and plow snow to reach the vegetation underneath.

So much work for such a little nutrition! No wonder they almost graze entire day. I do too! But that’s a different story.

Giants in their own rights, these guys are incredibly nimble. After standing still for few minutes, this guy dashed off jumping almost 2- 3 feet and taking big leaps to reach rest of the herd.

There are plenty of arches in Utah, heck ! there is an entire national park for arches. But a view of the sunlit valley through this arch is still one of my favorite 🏜

We have a 30 degree weather in Chicago this week, reminded me of Utah which was just 70 degrees more when we visited this Summer.Hah!

Barring that occasional heat wave , Utah is otherwise super cool (no pun intended).
Since it was a high season and procrastination is my middle name, we had to book offbeat stays a little farther from popular national parks. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise though, as we were able to experience more of countryside.

Rather than hitting every popular spot, we visited only few places and spent more time there. We are in rush in our day to day life anyway, what’s the point if a trip is also about checking boxes, eh?
Utah is… made for such slow travel ! Take a breath, experience and savor Utah when you are there.
