VERNACULAR
October 23
We’re so excited to announce that our next full-length album VERNACULAR will be released on October 23.
This album features compositions and performances by our dear friend and muse Jlin, and a sweeping new multi/movement work by the inimitable David Longstreth — plus a new arrangement of one of our favorites from maestro Philip Glass.
Singles forthcoming…for now here is the cover art by our long-time collaborators Sonnenzimmer 🙌
What’s the best time signature? obviously knows the answer to that one.
…also, things you would pay good money to see Tigran do onstage. All this and more in Episode 6 of Percussion Discussion 🥁🎙️
Three Exaggerations by Bruce Goff, arr. by David Skidmore
Our month-long feature of composer/artist/architect Bruce Goff continues with this 3 movement work, originally written for player piano.
Much of this music is fiendishly difficult. It was all very meticulously crafted, and takes advantage of the player piano’s ability to create music that no single piano player could ever perform.
Full video available now on our YouTube channel, and the score is available for purchase as well!

Parade by Bruce Goff, arr. by Sean Connors 🏳️🌈
We’re kicking off pride month with this aptly titled piece by the brilliant, iconoclastic architect, artist, and composer Bruce Goff. Goff has become an important figurehead of mid-century q***r modernism.
He was self-taught in all areas of his creativity, including his musical composition. In tandem with an exhibit of Goff’s work this past winter at , TCP arranged and re-imagined Goff’s complete surviving musical output (most of which was originally written for player piano) for a special performance that was captured on video. 🎥
We’ll be releasing these videos all month (and beyond) on our YouTube channel. Head over there now to see the complete performance of Parade! 🥳🔥🎊
