Today, Project H.O.O.D.’s Re-Entry Program hosted an Expungement Event, helping community members take steps toward clearing their records and opening the door to new opportunities.
A record shouldn’t have to define someone’s future. We’re committed to providing the resources, support, and opportunities our community needs to move forward.

64th & Ellis was lit for another Light in the Night! 🌙✨ Project H.O.O.D. teamed up with Play Streets and Endless Energy for a 3v3 basketball tournament that brought the community together through sports, fellowship, and positive energy.
Big thank you to everyone who came out, competed, supported, and helped make the night special. This is what community looks like. ❤️

THIS is what transformation looks like.
He came through our Carpentry & Construction Trades program as a student. He graduated, learned a skill, and earned an opportunity.
Today, he is employed by the general contractor building our community center—and he’s working on the very building that will create opportunities for thousands more young people behind him.
That’s the vision.
We’re not just building a community center. We’re building people who can build communities.
From student ➡️ graduate ➡️ skilled tradesman ➡️ employed ➡️ now helping build the future of his own community.
This is why we do what we do at Project H.O.O.D.
Give people skills. Give them opportunity. Give them a pathway—and watch what they build.
A sign is more than just a name on a building — it’s a symbol of what happens when a community comes together with a vision. 🏗️✨
Seeing the Project H.O.O.D. sign go up on our community center is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come. This moment would not have been possible without every donor, supporter, partner, volunteer, and community member who believed in this vision and helped make it a reality. Thank you. ❤️
But the work is not over. We still have more to build, more lives to impact, and more help is needed to bring the full vision to life.
We’ve come this far together. Now, let’s finish what we started. 💪🏾

Project H.O.O.D. come to Gary? SAY LESS! 💪🏾🔥
Believe it or not, just a few miles across the border, families in Northwest Indiana have been without power for over 10 days. When our neighbors are in need, borders don’t matter — community does.
Yesterday, the Project H.O.O.D. team, volunteers from across the region, and local nonprofit partners came together in Gary and served over 1,000+ residents in just a couple of hours! 🙌🏾

❤️ And most importantly — love and support.
