It's getting to be that time of year, where all retail will be looking for seasonal help!!! Want some extra help with that application feel free to stop by at one of our CTC labs and our instructors will be willing to help you through the whole way!!!

Walden Oaks Apartments Computer Lab
located at 1155 Walden Oaks Drive apt. 110W, Woodstock, IL 60098

We offer a lab filled with 6 computers and a printer. Classes and one-on-one tutoring sessions are available Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30am-3:30pm and Fridays 12:00pm-4:00pm with the Computer Lab(CTC) Instructor.

The computer lab is open 5 days a week, Monday-Friday (9:00am-5:00pm)!

All of our classes are set up as Tutoring Sessions. We set the class up based on your skill level, needs and time. It's Never too late to Learn Something New!!!

What’s in my “Puter”: Want to know what’s inside your computer? Ever wonder what the Computer Sales Guys are talking about when you hear them say Gig, Memory, Motherboard or Disk Drive? Well, this short ½ hour class is for you. We will open up a computer and look inside!

Basic computer Skills: Gain the basic knowledge you will need to operate today’s high powered personal computers. You will learn the proper way to start up and shut down your computer. You will learn to navigate the different software windows and what they mean. You will also learn how to use the different components of the computer.

Basic Use of Microsoft Word: Learn the basic skills needed to use one of the most powerful word processing software programs on the market today used by thousands of businesses all over the U.S. You will learn how to create Great Looking Resumes, Professional Looking Documents and print them out right on the spot! Create your own account in our lab to store you documents and transfer them to your Thumb Drive to use Anywhere!

The Internet / e-mail and how to use it. The name says it all. Learn how to use the internet to do research for school, work or home. Conduct Job Searches, get new recipes for dinner, look up your family tree and much, much more. Open up your own secure e-mail account and take advantage of all the internet has to offer.

Job searches: Use any of our 12 systems to find that New or Better Paying Job you deserve!

Resumes and Interviewing: Once you have found that new Job, it’s time to polish up or even create a New Resume to get you that New Job! Learn how to put together a Good Looking Resume that will get you noticed by an employer! We also offer mock interviews to prepare you for that face to face with your”New Boss”! We have the tools you’ll need for success!!

Typing Basics: Everybody needs to know how to type in today’s computer world. Learn to type or improve on your skills using our typing software and tutorials

Pre GED: Our course is for folks who took “The Table Test” and scored below the minimum level, or if you want to study more before taking The Table test. Prepare yourself with these Pre-GED Lesions and take your test with more confidence and Get Your GED!!!!

Open Computer Lab: We have 12 computer systems for you to use for work or recreation. All of our systems are connected to high speed internet and you can print documents if needed. There is always an instructor onsite if you need help. Best of all, It’s Free!!!

Come on in and see me anytime. I can customize a tutoring program to meet your needs and time schedule. If you have a question about computers, come ask me. Who knows, I might have the “Right Answer”! Or you may just want to come in and check your e-mail or facebook account. We are here for you to use!

Free Online Learning at GCFLearnFree.org Our online classes offer you the opportunity to learn on your own time and at your own pace. All of our classes are completely free and will earn you accredited Continuing Education Units and a Certificate of Completion!
