Macaron Chicago
Macarons: traditional french cookies made with meringue-based shells and luscious fillings of ganache, buttercream, caramel or jam.
And finally (this part makes me a bit weepy because it seems so final) I've got some equipment to sell: full-size sheet pans, full-size silpats, cooling racks, extra-large mixing bowls, bakery boxes/packaging, farmers market tent and table. Send me an email at macaronchicago[at]gmail[dot]com if interested. Thanks-
On a separate note, I've got about 200 caramel fleur de sel and 60 carrot cake macarons that I baked 2 weeks ago and then had to freeze when I was unable to do the LSK Pastry Market. If anyone's interested, please let me know (they're $0.50 each just to cover the cost of ingredients and some kitchen time). ps - macarons freeze beautifully and the quality rarely suffers as long as they're properly defrosted.
Hi everyone. I'm sorry to report that Macaron Chicago has come to an end, as I'll be moving to New Orleans in a few weeks to start a Historic Preservation program at Tulane. I was hoping to squeeze in one last Logan Square market this weekend but unfortunately the logistics didn't work out. Thanks so much to all of you for your support over the past year. It's been an amazing experience and so much fun!!!
Beth
