Over 200,000 Illinois residents are facing losing their federal food assistance over the coming year. Thousands have already been cut off due to rigid, failed work requirements.

We have the power to change this. Illinois legislators have introduced bills (SB3277/HB4730 and HB4831/SB3167) that would provide hundreds of millions in emergency food funding to protect these families.

Decades of inaction have left our state on shaky ground, and Trump's cuts have turned the situation into a full-blown crisis. Now it's time to make the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share so Illinois can deliver for the people who need it most.
