Gauge played Sir Donald's in Downers Grove, IL for the second time on June 30, 1991 with Scherzo, Angry Son, and Son of Man (formerly Manneqvin Hand). 100 lucky showgoers got a special Gauge 7" absolutely free courtesy of Shakefork founder Ray Kolenko. He can be seen thumbing his nose at Neil while midair. These vertical shots were scanned from their tiny 110 negatives. Drummer Ryan is captured in the subsequent horizontal set. Sure was hot that Sunday.

Thirty-four years ago, Gauge bore witness to two very different "return" shows in the same week. Even Score at Wrigleyside with Time Out and the return of Screeching Weasel (to South Beloit) at The Hangout along with Sarkoma. Somehow, Gauge wasn't the only rampant mispelling victim.
