I've been entering a lot of design contests on 99designs lately.

Recently I had the opportunity to help a student run start up called The Chicago Vibe at DePaul University, in Chicago, Illinois.

The Chicago Vibe is a web series that connects DePaul University musicians to the Chicago music scene. Having worked as a promoter in my own local music scene, I was ecstatic to have the chance to help out someone else's, even with something as simple as a flyer.

What started out as a simple flyer design, turned into the creation of a logo for the student run business. At first I recreated a logo based on a sketch given to me by my client - but then I remembered something. I had a great logo I completed last year that never got used, as that client never paid me for my work. So, I altered the existing files I had to give them a second option, which they wound up using!
